Global Ocean Race
One of the toughest races on the planet… 30,000 miles around the Globe exclusive to Class 40 yachts sailed Double Handed. The Crews will face the Doldrums, Southern Ocean, rounding Cape Horn and back across the Equator. The stops are as follows:
Leg 1: Mallorca to Cape Town – start 25th September 2011
Leg 2: Cape Town to Wellington – start 27th November 2011

Leg 4: Punta del Este to Charleston – start 1st April 2012
Leg 5: Charleston to Les Sables d’Olonne- start 20th May 2012
Normandy Channel Race 2011
1000 miles of Double Handed Sailing in the English Channel and Irish Sea. A tough race in tidal waters between some of the busiest shipping in the world!
Start from Caen on Sunday 22nd May 2011. Nick and Phillippa had a very difficult race in rough seas with winds over 40 knots. Phesheya-Racing qualified for the Global Ocean Race by finishing the Normandy Channel Race. They were placed 10th.

Came 8th out of 10 boats

Phillippa & Nicks first double handed race together
Phillippa’s first long distance double handed race and she was the only girl and youngest competitor
Placed 6th / 10 boats
The Shetland Round Britain and Ireland Race
Double Handed race, Phillippa was again the only girl in the Class 40 fleet and she beat the next girl by 3 days
Leg results: 1, 2, 4, 4 and final result was 4th, 26 minutes behind the leaders after 2200 miles
La Chrono, Lorient, France (Speed sailing around an Island)
Double Handed, Only girl in Class 40 fleet
Best result 4th
Came 6th over all
World Championships
Crewed event and Phesheya had mostly South African crew
Tied 10th with Marie Toit
Marie Toit beat us in 2 races so they took 10th
Final Position 11th
Sevenstar Round Britain and Ireland Race
Crewed event, Phesheya had 4 crew, 2000 miles

Came 2nd overall
